La Jolla is the most physically demanding area I work, and that is entirely about access. A lot of these homes are two or three stories, built into a hillside or onto a canyon edge, with the vent terminating on the roof. The Village and the Shores add a lot of condos and older Spanish and Mediterranean homes from the twenties and thirties, which bring their own retrofitted-laundry quirks. And the modern custom homes up around the Muirlands and Mount Soledad often have genuinely long, engineered duct runs that need the deep clean rather than the standard one.
